A three-year-old girl has been seriously injured after being knocked down on the main street of a Fife town.
The accident took place at 10.10am on the Main Street in Townhill and the girl was rushed to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy with serious injuries.
The road has been closed since the accident as police investigate the circumstances.
A Police Scotland spokesperson commented: “Police were called around 10.10am on Monday, 3 August, 2020, following the report of a car colliding with a three-year-old child on Main Street, Townhill.
“Emergency services attended and the girl has been taken to the Victoria Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
“The road is currently closed and motorists are advised to avoid the area at this time.”
