Emergency services were called to Lochore Meadows Country Park in the early hours of this morning for a search and rescue operation involving police, fire crews and specialist water rescue and recovery teams.
A spokesperson for Scottish Fire & Rescue Service, said: “We were alerted to assist police in an emergency at Lochore Meadows at 3.31am on Thursday, July 23.
“Crews from Lochgelly and Kirkcaldy fire stations were despatched as well as water rescue units from Glenrothes and Perth to assist in the search.
“Officers conducted a searched the loch and islands before being stood down at 5.42am.”
